A mom recently shared a heartwarming story with the FDF: Her son, who has undergone many surgeries for his FD/MAS, had befriended another little boy with FD/MAS. The two boys did not live near each other, but they became pen pals, exchanging notes and words of encouragement. Their experience was positive and uplifting. We were inspired to enable this kind of friendship for other children in the FD/MAS community.
That’s why FDF is launching an FD/MAS Pen Pal program for children ages 7 to 17 years old. Kids and teens will be able to exchange handwritten or typed letters with another FD/MAS patient of a similar age after being matched by FDF. We hope that this opportunity allows other kids in the FD/MAS community to connect and support each other as these two young FD Warriors have!
**2018 Pen Pal sign up has ended, but please stay tuned for the next round of sign ups***
